WHAT

is JACKALOPE PARK

Jackalope Park is a place for the curious and the imaginative. While Jackalope Park may be small, you'll find something new at every turn. Stand tall with Hazel, our 14-foot friendly dinosaur. Have a picnic. Get lost in the beauty of our pollinator gardens. Discover a new world inside The Warren Gallery, where fine art meets a tiny space.

WHY DOES IT

EXIST

The number one question we receive is, “Why is this place here?”

Jackalope Park exists for a single reason: to bring people joy. It's a living example of how a small space can hold big ideas and how ideas can spark a movement of good. We hope Jackalope Park inspires you to accomplish your big, beautiful, audacious dreams.

MEET HAZEL the

dino

At over fourteen feet tall, Hazel is hard to miss!

She was born in Florida's Lake County, at a crossroad called Barberville. For years, she stood among a menagerie of magnificent and quirky creatures, a soaring roadside icon and a salute to the power of imagination. She was a celebrity of sorts, a star of the sun-soaked South, but her heart yearned for a new adventure.

Her journey to Minnesota was an epic one. She traveled thousands of miles. Upon her arrival, she was given her new name, Hazel, after the scenic Hazelwood Drive, which runs beside her home.

Here, in Jackalope Park, she stands not just as a statue, but as a guardian of joy and a symbol of incredible adventures. She is proof that big ideas take time to find their home.

Warren

Gallery

The Warren Gallery, Minnesota's smallest fine art museum. (Yet Nisswa's largest.) This 96-square-foot gallery is dedicated to a single, bold idea: that great art can exist in the most unexpected places. The gallery showcases a rotating collection of original works by professional, living artists from around the country.

Named for the complex network of burrows a jackalope might call home, The Warren Gallery is a portal into a world of artistic wonder. Its existence is an invitation to explore, to question, and to discover the profound impact that a small, passionate act can have on the world.

Pollinator

Garden

Jackalope Park is more than just art and dinosaurs. It's a vibrant ecosystem. Our gardens are filled with native grasses and wildflowers, providing essential shelter and food for local birds, bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.

Our gardens were planted in August of 2025. So, they are still taking root. However, we have already seen an increase in butterflies, bees, and birds.
